Despite all the advances in technology over the last few years you still need a cabling infrastructure to carry your data from clients to servers. We provide a full range of cabling services ranging from CAT5e, CAT6 and fibre multi protocol solutions to voice and coaxial cabling if required.

A particular benefit of dealing with Chess Network Solutions cabling is that we combine our knowledge of current cabling systems with a thorough understanding of the data and voice protocols they need to carry. Conversion from and connection to legacy data and cabling systems is a particular speciality.

All our cabling is protected by a 15 year manufacturers guarantee and we don’t use subcontractors.

All Category 5e cabling is installed to our own, exacting standards, but also to the industry specifications. These standards are described as:

• Supply and install Category 5e cabling to the points indicated on supplied plans. All cable will be to Category 5e, TIA568A-5, ISO11801 24AWG Standards

• All cables will be contained or clipped and tied to supporting structures. All cable will be run and clipped or contained in trunking or above false ceiling. Any trunking, capping or conduit supplied by us not specified will be charged over and above the fixed price quoted within this document

• Terminate and test all points to Category 5e standards, with points terminating in Category 5e patch panels located in specified cabinet. Supply and install new Category 5e patch panels for the termination of all wall sockets

• Terminate and test all points for continuity with Mod-Tap testers

• Terminate and test all points to Category 5e standard, with Wirescope 155 for IEEE TSB67 Level 2 /ISO 11801 CAT5E Specification for the following items:

• Document fully all numbering schemes used, routes and cabinet layout. Document all test results and pass to customer for final handover.

• We reserve the right to charge for any delays to installation by other parties. We will not be held responsible for protracted installation missing installation timescales if caused by others. However, we will make all reasonable endeavours to fit around third parties when delays are caused.

• Our pricing allows us to install the cabling outside of normal hours. Our shift pattern for required evening work is from 4pm to 11:30pm, and for required night work would be 4 nights, Monday to Thursday, 9pm to 7am. We must have access to all offices during these hours to ensure correct cable runs.
